Greetings in Christ!

Trininty UCC in Biddleborn and Holy Ghost UCC inDarmstadt are two beautiful country churches!  The fields around them herald each season that passes.  In spring they are prepared and planted, bringing forth new shoots of hope.  In summer they show off their upcoming bounty in lush green hues.  In fall they are anxiously waiting for the harvest, turning to beautiful shades of gold and brown.  And even in winter we see the "time of rest", that God requires of all creation, sometimes covered with the surprise of a lovely snowfall.

Our churches celebrate the seasons, as well, with the "Hanging of the Greens" at Advent,  Candlelight Services on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, special services during Lent and Holy Week, a "Spring Blessing" celebration, and a celebration of the birthday of the church at Pentecost.  We remember our young people with a special "Time For Children" during the worship and Sunday School each Sunday.  And there are other gatherings in fellowship such as:  the Schlachtfest, Steak Dinner, Ice Cream Social and Game Night, trip to a Grizzlies game, a visit from the Easter Bunny, a Bon-fire and Hayride.  These are only some of our activities.

What I, as the pastor, think is the greatest blessing of these two congregations is the way they welcome everyone.  Whether you are a new visitor or have been coming for 90 (+) years!  They may be two church buildings but they are ONE Congregation, honoring the motto of the United Church of Christ "That All May Be One".  They live the way of Christ in their mission work and worship.  In 2008 Trinity celebrated 130 years of service to our Lord and Holy Ghost celebrated 165 years of service to our Lord.  We have a long history and plan to have a bright and shining future with the guidance and loving presence of God.
